Zit Tips that No One Wants to Talk About

Tips and Tricks To Help Alleviate Your Zit Woes

Just the word "zit" is enough to make some acne sufferers cringe. I know from experience. However, there are certain things you can do when zits rear their ugly head. Unconventional, yet sometimes very gratifying zit solutions that offer almost-instant relief. If you've ever experienced a painful zit that you want to get rid of fast, here are some zit tips that are sure to help.

Pop The Bugger

Okay, we're told time and time again not to pop zits. I understand the reasons why but I also understand that sometimes when a zit is up at the surface and ready to pop, helping it along might be a good idea. With that in mind, use a zit popping tool - not your finger nails.

I don't care how many times you wash your hands, your fingers and fingernails will never be clean enough to pop a zit. If you're going to do it, be smart about it and use a clean stainless steel tool meant for the job.

The Ooze Factor

It's not a pleasant topic to talk about, but almost everyone who suffers from acne is familiar with the ooze factor. You know, you pop the zit and then it seems to ooze clear liquid for an hour. Talk about embarrassing!

You want that zit to stop oozing? Handle it like you would a shaving cut. Put a blotter of tissue on it and let the tissue stop the oozing for you. No, it's not pretty and you'd best stay in the bathroom till it's done, but it's better than walking around oozing all over the place.

Zap It

There are actually zit zappers on the market and while they are expensive and don't necessarily erase zits instantaneously, there's something to be said for killing your zit from the inside out. Something quite gratifying, actually.

So while no one wants to talk about it, the fact of the matter is that there are ways to handle a zit situation. The next time a zit dares to show it's ugly head on your skin, keep the above advice in mind.
