Think Before You Put Those Skin Care Products On Your Face

Not All Skin Care Products Are Good For Your Face

Any product that can be used on your face or body falls into the category of skin care products. Unfortunately, many people assume all skin care products are okay for the face. This couldn't be further from the truth. If you want to make sure you're not putting the wrong skin care products on your face, you need to read this...

Steer Clear of Baby Oil

Baby oil is a medicine cabinet staple in many households and is great for dry elbows or rough feet. Some people even use baby oil as a cuticle cream and for shaving. However, baby oil is one of the skin care products that should never be used on your face.

Baby oil can clog your pores and make your acne ten times worse. It's also hard to wash off, so if you apply it to your face and then try to rinse it, you're not going to get it all off -- leaving residue to wreak havoc on your pores.

Avoid Petroleum Jelly

Petroleum jelly is also another of the skin care products that aren’t good to use on your face. Petroleum jelly can clog your pores and is very difficult to rinse off.

Rubbing Alcohol

Rubbing alcohol is one of the skin care products that is often used to clean and disinfect skin abrasions, but rubbing alcohol should never be used on your face. Rubbing alcohol will dry out your skin and cause dead skin cells to flake off, further clogging your pores and aggravating your acne.

Unless a product says that it's safe for facial use, then it was created for the other parts of your body and shouldn't be used on your face. Remember, there are plenty of skin care products on the market that have been created specifically for the sensitive skin of the face. Stick with those skin care products to prevent acne breakouts.
